Lunch in Sunnyside

After our hike we drove up north towards Tahoe city. It was very busy because of the 4th of july weekend. But eventually we made it to a place called Sunnyside. We had to wait an hour to be seated, but we could either drive back home which would have been an hour or drive around and find out it would be everywhere so pact. So we decided to stay and enjoy our view, which was spectacular and it was worth waiting, it was nice and sunny with some wind and the lunch was nice too.

Hiking to Eagle Lake

After a day relaxing we decided a hike would be a good change. So we hiked Eagle Falls Trailhead of which I understand from articles on line is the shorter hike and is called the upper Eagle Falls. We seem to have missed the more beautiful one which is the lower Eagle Falls.
Well I have to say that for us this was a very nice hike and we enjoyed it very much. It was about one and a half hour hike.
The encounter with a little chipmunk trying to steel some food of other hikers was a treat too. We only had water, unfortunate for the chipmunk. They are like rats around here and very quick too.

4th of July at S Lake Tahoe, CA

4th of July was for us a day to relax. We stayed at home putsing around, went to the pool for a dip and around 7.30 we had made reservations for 'Riva Grill' restaurant. This is a restaurant along the lake. We had chosen this place to watch the fireworks on the lake.

Well this was worthwhile and we even had a great dinner. Beautiful and great atmosphere! It was crowded with people everywhere, even on the lake. It was as if you saw a small town lit up on the river. Great view!! See the pictures and judge for yourself.

HAPPY 4TH of JULY!!!!
